The third week of ELEAGUE Season 1 is done and dusted and as always, it is time for us to recap the matchups and highlight the best performances.

Group C in ELEAGUE Season 1 featured Astralis, who had to play their first four matches with Danny "zonic" Sørensen as Finn "karrigan" Andersen was having visa problems, Fatih "gob b" Dayik's NRG, another Danish team SK, and CLG who used their coach Faruk "pita" Pita as their fifth player.

Astralis faced NRG in their first match and won 16-12 on Cache and 16-14 on Train. Nicolai "device" Reedtz feasted off of NRG players, averaging a 1.58 rating alongside a 57:30 combined score. gob b's 0.63 rating did not help NRG's case.

device should be happy with the results

device & company had a much easier time against CLG as they beat the North Americans twice, giving up only eight rounds in total. James "hazed" Cobb's 0.32 rating on Train was his fifth worst rating on LAN.

The Danish derby between Astralis and SK saw teams splitting maps as SK won 16-6 on Train while Astralis secured Overpass with a 16-7 final score. Emil "Magisk" Reif posted a 1.55 rating and a 25:13 score on the first map but device performed even better on Overpass as he had a 1.93 rating and a 27:12 score.

SK performed another exchange of maps, this time against CLG. Despite winning Nuke after a 12-3 T-side, the Danes lost 14-16 on Overpass. Magisk kept putting up monstrous numbers and had a rating of 1.94 on Nuke. hazed was the most influential player in CLG's map win with a 29:17 score.

The statistical leaders of Group C

NRG was dominated by SK on both matches as they bent the knee to Andreas "MODDII" Fridh's 2.00 rating performance on Cobblestone. gob b's team picked up their only win against CLG with whom they traded victories.

Astralis struggled against NRG in the semi-finals, just like in their group matches, but came out ahead once again. (16-13 on Overpass and 19-16 on Cache). NRG's new transfer Johannes "tabseN" Wodarz was the only player that had positive numbers but his 1.19 rating showing was not enough. device was the man of the match with a 54:42 score and a 1.25 rating.

The second semi-final was between CLG and SK. Despite Magisk's efforts, CLG secured the 2-1 win after losing the first map. The last map, Overpass, which finished 16-14 in favor of CLG almost saw CLG choke but they managed to retain their 12-3 halftime lead.

Kjaerbye showed up in the grand final

The first map in the grand final (Mirage) went as expected with Astralis winning it 16-7 owing to the fact that all their players had more than a 1.16 rating. Markus "Kjaerbye" Kjærbye was on the frontlines on Dust2 but CLG managed to secure it in overtime (16-19). With Kjaerbye's 1.53 rating performance on Overpass, Astralis won the map (16-11), the series and the group.

Group C MVP:DenmarkNicolai "device" Reedtz

He had success with opening kills as he won 67.1% of his opening duels and won five clutches. With his superstar performance, Astralis won't be easy to stop.
